Nigerian Army Graduates 4 Sets of Paratroopers, Charges Them on Combat Readiness

The Nigerian Army School of Infantry, NASI, has graduated students of Advance Airborne Course 31, Basic Rigger Course 48, Basic Airborne Course 61, and NDA Cadets Basic Airborne Course 10 at Jaji, Kaduna State.

‎Commander Infantry Corps, Major General Godwin Michael Mutkut, who was the Special Guest of Honour, charged the new paratroopers on Thursday to apply their specialised skills to enhance operational effectiveness and defend Nigeria’s territorial integrity.

‎He urged them to remain disciplined, professional, and committed, noting that their expertise is critical to tackling contemporary security challenges.

‎Commandant NASI, Major General Frank Sunday Etim, said the students underwent rigorous physical conditioning, airborne drills, and psychological training before earning their airborne wings. He reiterated the Riggers’ motto: “I Will Be Sure Always.”

‎The ceremony also featured combat graduation jumps, decoration of graduates with airborne wings, and presentation of merit awards.

‎Etim also graduated students of Armoured Personnel Carrier Driving and Maintenance Section Commanders Course 40, and charged them to use their skills as force multipliers in their units.
