The Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, NSITF, has urged African businesses embracing Artificial Intelligence to tie digital transformation to workers’ welfare and social protection.
NSITF Managing Director, Oluwaseun Faleye, made the call on Tuesday at the launch of a free AI Master Training Programme for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs, at the UN House in Abuja.
Faleye said technology cannot guarantee business resilience if worker safety and social security are ignored.
The training is being organised by the ECOWAS Small Business Coalition with InnoPower LLC and the United Nations Development Programme, UNDP. It is designed to equip MSMEs across the region with AI skills for production, marketing and cross-border trade.
