Chief Patrick Onwuka, a former aspirant for the All Progressives Congress, APC, ticket in Isiala Ngwa North/South Federal Constituency, has endorsed the party’s candidate, Chief Uzoma Ihuka.
At an event held at his residence in Umukpenyi Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South, Onwuka and members of his political structure received Ihuka and pledged to support his ambition.
He assured Ihuka of his commitment to mobilise support across the constituency, noting that party primaries were over and the focus should now be on working for candidates that emerged.
“Party primaries are over now. It is time to work for the party by supporting candidates that emerged,” Onwuka said.
Responding, Chief Ihuka commended Onwuka for the reception and assurances, saying both of them could achieve a lot together to reposition Isiala Ngwa North/South Federal Constituency.
Ihuka added that the endorsement would further strengthen the party’s chances in the constituency.
Stakeholders noted that Onwuka is not the first to endorse Ihuka. Several stakeholders in Isiala Ngwa and pro-APC groups have also thrown their weight behind Chief Ihuka, describing him as the right person to represent the constituency.
