Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has declared Imo a premier destination for investment, citing policy reforms, infrastructure upgrades, and 24-hour power supply in the state capital.

‎Speaking yesterday at Invest Lagos 3.0 in Lagos, Uzodimma said the state now allows investors to extract raw materials, process them, and market finished products within Imo.

‎He said access to the state is now seamless by road through ongoing road projects, by air through the remodeling of Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, SMICA, and by sea through dredging of the Orashi River.

‎Uzodimma added that Imo’s Industrial Policy Framework offers a 10-year tax holiday for startups and has eliminated multiple taxation. Through the Orashi Electricity Company, he said, Imo generates, transmits, and distributes power, delivering 24-hour electricity in the Municipal City and expanding statewide.

‎He invited investors, industry leaders, and development partners worldwide to explore opportunities in Imo, saying the state’s policies are investor-friendly and committed to shared growth.
