The Nigerian Army has hosted a Gala Night in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to honour veterans and serving personnel as part of activities marking the 2026 Nigerian Army Day Celebration, NADCEL.
The event, held at the EUI Event Centre on Sunday ahead of the grand finale of the week-long celebration, was aimed at recognising the sacrifices of personnel and reinforcing national unity and military professionalism.

He said the nationwide activities showcased the Army as a strategic institution for national cohesion and stability.

The COAS paid tribute to fallen heroes, stating that their sacrifices remain the foundation upon which the Nigerian Army will continue to build a stronger and more secure Nigeria.
