ABUJA — The Office of the Minister of Defence has dismissed as false a media report alleging that the Minister, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, intends to step down from his position.

‎In a statement issued by the Special Assistant on Media to the Minister, Leah Katung-Babatunde, the office described the report as false and borne out of mischief.

‎According to the statement, General Musa remains focused on his national security mandate and is committed to his duties. The statement added that he is dedicated to piloting the nation’s defence strategy, with results already being recorded.

‎The Ministry urged members of the public to disregard the report. It also advised media organisations to desist from spreading unverified information and to seek clarifications from the office before publication.
