Security analyst Bakatsine has raised alarm over a fresh attack by bandits along the Magami–Dansadau road in Zamfara State.
In a post on X, Bakatsine said the bandits blocked the road, vandalised vehicles and destroyed travellers’ belongings.
He noted that this is the second attack on the route after the bandits threatened to burn 250 vehicles along the road, leaving motorists worried about their safety.
The incident has renewed concerns over the security of travellers on the corridor, which has recorded repeated attacks, including recent threats to burn over 200 vehicles and the burning of 12 vehicles and imposition of N50m levy on Dansadau communities earlier this week.
Bakatsine questioned how long travellers will continue to face such attacks before authorities take concrete action to secure the road and protect lives and property.
