Arne Slot has turned down an approach from Fulham to become their next manager, reports say, less than a week after his exit from Liverpool.
The Dutchman was sacked by Liverpool last week, a year after winning the Premier League title. Andoni Iraola was announced as his replacement on Thursday.
Fulham began their search after Marco Silva confirmed his move to Benfica. Slot emerged as a target for the Cottagers but declined the opportunity to move to west London.
According to talkSPORT, Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna is interested in the Fulham job and has an £8million release clause following their Premier League promotion.
Former Brentford and Tottenham coach Thomas Frank was also linked, but he ruled out returning to the Premier League this summer.
Dutch journalist Marcel van der Kraan said Slot was surprised by Liverpool’s decision but holds no ill-feeling toward the club.
He has also been linked with AC Milan and international management roles.
