Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno has led a technical session with Africa Global Logistics, AGL, and other partners in Paris, France, to review the feasibility report for the Ibom Deep Sea Port and push the project toward execution.
‎
‎Eno said the meeting focused on timelines, milestones, and accelerating implementation.
‎
‎In a post on his verified X handle, the Governor described the port as a key strategic project to position the state as a maritime, trade, and logistics hub.
‎
‎The governor has prioritised the port since assuming office in 2023 as part of his ARISE Agenda to reposition Akwa Ibom’s economy beyond oil.
‎
‎Earlier engagements include: signing an MOU with a Chinese firm for port infrastructure in 2024 and hosting investors’ roundtables in Lagos and Abuja to attract maritime investment.
‎
‎He said his administration remains committed to working with partners to deliver the project and drive economic growth.
