The Ogun State Police Command says its operatives arrested two suspects over a cattle theft in Sagamu and also foiled a suspected abduction attempt on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway.

‎Police said operatives of the Sagamu Division arrested Abiodun Kamilu, 35, and Adesanya Segun, 37, on 25th July, 2026, after a distress call that seven cows were stolen from a cow yard in Maskoli, Sagamu.
Six cows and a blue Nissan Cabster bus were recovered. One cow is still missing and the investigation continues.

‎In a separate incident on 26th July, 2026, the Command’s Safer Highway Patrol Team said they responded to gunshots at Onigaari and rescued a victim unhurt. The suspects fled into the bush.

‎The Commissioner of Police in the State, CP Bode Ojajuni, commended the officers and urged residents to keep giving timely information.
