The National Assembly is working to digitise parliamentary records and translate Nigerian laws into local languages to make legislative information more accessible to citizens.

‎Executive Secretary of the National Assembly Library Trust Fund, Henry Nwawuba, disclosed this at the opening of the 2026 National Assembly Library Week.

‎Nwawuba said the initiative is aimed at preserving Nigeria’s democratic records and deepening citizens’ engagement with the legislature.

‎Other speakers at the event noted that digitising the nation’s laws would enable citizens to track bills and follow their progress through the legislative process.
