ABAKALIKI — Ebonyi State Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has congratulated the Minister of Works, Sen. Engr. David Nweze Umahi, CON, on his 63rd birthday.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Governor Nwifuru described Umahi as a remarkable statesman whose life exemplifies visionary leadership, courage, discipline, and commitment to public service.
The Governor said the birthday presents an opportunity for Ebonyi people to celebrate a lasting legacy that has transformed lives and improved infrastructural development and conditions in rural communities across the state.
He noted that as Minister of Works, Umahi’s impact is visible nationwide through bold reforms, innovative engineering solutions, and the accelerated delivery of key federal road projects.
According to him, Umahi’s performance continues to justify the confidence reposed in him by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, while also proving that competence remains central to effective public service.
“Your journey from a transformational Governor to one of Nigeria’s most effective Ministers shows that true leadership is not about the office one holds, but about the value one brings wherever one is called to serve. This, you have demonstrated,” Nwifuru stated.
The Governor prayed that God grants the Minister greater wisdom, renewed strength, divine protection, and many more years of impactful leadership.
