The All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to bridge the gap between male and female representation in the Senate in 2027, says former Abia Central Senator, Nkechi Nwaogu.

‎Speaking on Family Love FM’s “Open Parliament” on Tuesday, Nwaogu cited the “abysmal” representation of women in the Senate as a concern the party is committed to addressing in 2027.

‎Nwaogu, who is eyeing a Senate return, promised to be a voice for the voiceless and ensure quality representation for Abia Central.

‎”I’m not just seeking to occupy a seat, but to make an impact,” she said, highlighting her past records.

‎She noted that Abia Central is the least represented among the three senatorial districts, assuring that she is poised to add value.

‎Addressing term limits, Nwaogu said experience matters, and the Senate isn’t for “learners”. “You don’t send a rookie to do a man’s job,” she emphasised.
