The All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to bridge the gap between male and female representation in the Senate in 2027, says former Abia Central Senator, Nkechi Nwaogu.
Speaking on Family Love FM’s “Open Parliament” on Tuesday, Nwaogu cited the “abysmal” representation of women in the Senate as a concern the party is committed to addressing in 2027.
Nwaogu, who is eyeing a Senate return, promised to be a voice for the voiceless and ensure quality representation for Abia Central.
”I’m not just seeking to occupy a seat, but to make an impact,” she said, highlighting her past records.
She noted that Abia Central is the least represented among the three senatorial districts, assuring that she is poised to add value.
Addressing term limits, Nwaogu said experience matters, and the Senate isn’t for “learners”. “You don’t send a rookie to do a man’s job,” she emphasised.
