The wife of the Katsina State Governor and Founder of the Pledging Aid Charity Foundation, PAC-F, Hajia Fatima Dikko Radda, has reaffirmed her commitment to advancing cancer prevention and equitable care.
Hajia Radda stated this while participating at the World Cancer Congress 2026, which climaxes today, September 26, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.
The congress was organised by the Union for International Cancer Control, UICC, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, the Katsina First Lady said her participation was aimed at spotlighting interventions being implemented in Katsina State to support cancer patients and promote early detection, particularly among women and vulnerable groups.
“Through my foundation, PAC-F, we have continued to bridge the gap in awareness, screening and support for cancer patients in Katsina. The World Cancer Congress gives us a global platform to share our experiences and learn best practices in prevention, treatment and health equity,” she said.
The 2026 congress brought together over 2,000 researchers, clinicians, policymakers, patient advocates and Ministers of Health from more than 120 countries to deliberate on multidisciplinary strategies for cancer control.
The CPD-certified three-day event featured plenary sessions, workshops and networking hubs, including the Innovation Hub and Spotlight Stage.
Hajia Radda, widely recognised for her humanitarian interventions through PAC-F, reiterated that her foundation remains committed to aligning with global efforts to reduce the cancer burden and ensure no patient is left behind.
