Opah is a manager of resources. His exploit at his shipping company, Fortune Global Shipping and Logistics Limited, is a testament that he will manage Abia’s economy and resources prudently.
In a state blessed with enormous human and material resources but long held back by poor resource management, Abia needs more than a politician — it needs a proven manager. That is what Eric Opah, the Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, represents.
Opah is not a stranger to building from scratch. As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fortune Global Shipping and Logistics Limited, established in 2006, he has built a logistics brand that now operates in eight countries. He has demonstrated capacity for financial discipline, strategic planning, and efficient allocation of resources — the same skills Abia needs to fix its economy.
Where others talk about managing resources, Opah has actually done it. Running a successful global shipping and logistics company requires negotiating international partnerships, managing complex supply chains, balancing books, and sustaining profit in a volatile market. That is real-world economic management, not textbook theory.
If he can manage a private conglomerate prudently and profitably, he can manage Abia’s public treasury prudently. Abia’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), federal allocation, and the abundant entrepreneurial energy of Aba need a manager who knows how to turn waste into wealth, leakage into savings, and potential into prosperity.
His candidacy under the APC offers Abia a chance to move from consumption to production, from borrowing to building, from sharing allocation to creating wealth. Opah’s private sector success is proof that he will bring accountability, transparency and business-minded prudence to the management of Abia’s economy.
Abia does not just need a Governor. It needs a Manager-in-Chief. And Eric Opah fits that bill.
