The Joint Task Force North East, Operation Hadin Kai, OPHK, says top ISWAP leaders have surrendered to troops amid intensified operations in the North-East theatre.

‎According to the Army, the leaders abandoned their enclaves due to “relentless military pressure” and are currently undergoing profiling and debriefing in a secure location.

‎The command said the development reflects the impact of its ongoing offensive against Boko Haram and ISWAP, which has dismantled strongholds, disrupted logistics, and degraded insurgent capabilities.

‎Within the last week alone, 76 terrorist foot soldiers and their families also surrendered to troops.

‎“The pressure on the remaining terrorist elements will continue unabated until they are completely neutralised or forced to surrender,” OPHK stated.
