Troops of the Joint Task Force North-East, Operation HADIN KAI, arrested five suspected kidnappers and recovered two AK-47 rifles with magazines and ammunition in Magumeri, Borno State.

‎The military disclosed on Friday that the operation followed credible intelligence on a criminal syndicate operating within the local government area.
‎
‎In a statement, the military said troops conducted a coordinated raid that led to the arrest of five suspected members of a kidnapping network allegedly responsible for terrorising residents and travellers in parts of the state.
‎
‎Security forces recovered two AK-47 rifles, magazines and ammunition during the operation, disrupting the group’s operational capability.
‎
‎Military authorities said preliminary investigations indicated the suspects were linked to kidnapping and other criminal activities in several communities in Borno State.
‎
‎The suspects remained in military custody and were assisting investigators with information to track other members of the syndicate.
