High Chief Raymond Ofoegbu, popularly known as Onyinye Ohuhu, has denied claims he is contesting for Umuahia State Constituency seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying a poster circulating online is false and misleading.

‎In a statement, Onyinye Ohuhu dismissed the poster as the handiwork of distractors seeking to mislead the public.

He clarified he has not declared any political ambition ahead of 2027 elections, urging supporters to disregard the poster.

‎According to him, while he appreciates the confidence and calls from supporters urging him to contest, it’s still premature to make such declarations, particularly as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has not yet lifted the ban on electioneering activities.

‎Ofoegbu noted that when the time is right, he will clearly communicate his intentions to his supporters and the people of Ohuhu and beyond.

‎He advised political actors to focus on issues that promote development and unity rather than spreading misinformation capable of causing unnecessary political tension.

The community leader reiterated his commitment to the progress and development of Ohuhu and Umuahia at large, stressing that his passion for service to the people remains unflinching.

Onyinye Ohuhu therefore called on the public to verify information before sharing it on social media, urging his supporters to remain calm and focused while awaiting any official communication regarding his political future.
