Suspected bandits have reportedly attacked Gidan Na Ango community in Dayi district, Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State.
A post by security expert Bakatsine on his verified X handle on Tuesday, said during the attack, the bandits allegedly made away with a motorcycle and several mobile phones before fleeing the scene.
He said, “Last night, suspected bandits reportedly attacked Gidan Na Ango community in Dayi district, Malumfashi Local Government Area, Katsina State. During the incident, the bandits allegedly made away with a motorcycle and several mobile phones before fleeing the scene unchallenged.”
Bakatsine posted that in a separate incident, security operatives responded to intelligence reports in Kwatangiri community, Funtua Local Government Area in Katsina State by apprehending two suspected bandits.
According to Bakatsine, the two suspect were later confirmed to be hunters and handed over to C-Watch personnel for further investigation to verify their identities and activities.
Meanwhile, members of the communities have been advised to remain calm as security agencies continue monitoring both areas and conducting investigations.
