Politics is not about trying new faces every time. It is about sending people who have the capacity, the contacts, and the courage to deliver.

‎For the people of Isuikwato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, that person is Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha.

‎Hon. Onyejeocha is not new to the job. She represented Isuikwato/Umunneochi in the House of Representatives for 4 consecutive terms.

‎In that time, she rose to become Deputy Chief Whip of the House — one of the principal offices. She was not just warming a seat. She was in the room where decisions were made, and she had a voice, a factor that is key in legislative business.

‎After 16 years in the legislature, she was called to serve at a higher level as Minister of State for Labour and Employment from August 2023 to April 2026. That appointment was not by accident. It was a recognition of her capacity, her loyalty, and her ability to manage people and government at the federal level.

‎The question has always been, what does she bring to the table now? The answer is simple: Onyejeocha brings experience and institutional memory. Abuja runs on relationships and knowledge of process. Hon. Onyejeocha understands how bills are passed, how constituency projects are attracted, and how to navigate the bureaucracy. She won’t need a learning period. She can hit the ground running from day one.

‎What about federal access and visibility? Having served as a Minister, she has direct access to ministries, agencies, and decision-makers that an average first-term member can only dream of. For Isuikwato/Umunneochi, that means better chances of attracting federal projects, jobs, empowerment programs, and infrastructure.

‎Also, as Deputy Chief Whip, she helped steer debates and build consensus. Our constituency needs someone who can sponsor and support bills that protect workers, women, youths, and small businesses. Her record in the House shows she understands representation beyond sharing rice and money.

‎Furthermore, her 16 years in the House and 4 years as Minister is a long time to be under public scrutiny. The people know her — her strengths, her weaknesses, and her commitment to the zone. There are no surprises.

‎Given her above performances, there is no gainsaying the fact that Barr. Onyejeocha should be trusted again. Why, many will ask? Trust should be earned, and she has earned it. Because Isuikwato/Umunneochi needs seniority at this time, not apprenticeship. The challenges of unemployment, bad roads, and poor federal presence require someone who already has a seat at the table.

‎For the people of Isuikwato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, sending Hon. Onyejeocha back is not about the past. It is about leveraging experience for the future. It is about putting someone in Abuja who can pick up the phone and get things done.

‎Isuikwato/Umunneochi deserves representation with weight. And in Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, we have that weight.
