The wife of the Governor of Abia State, Mrs Priscilla Otti, has reaffirmed her commitment to the fight against breast cancer, stressing that early detection remains key to saving lives.
‎
‎Mrs Otti stated this in a post on her X handle on Friday as part of activities marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
‎
‎According to her, behind every breast cancer diagnosis is a woman whose life, dreams and future are worth fighting for.
‎
‎”My continued advocacy against breast cancer is rooted in a conviction that must never be lost: early detection can save lives, and no woman should have to face this journey without care, support and hope,” she wrote.
‎
‎The Abia First Lady called for more open conversations and decisive action to support those affected by the disease.
‎
‎”This October, let us speak more openly, act more decisively and stand more firmly with those affected. Let us ensure that awareness reaches beyond our words into our homes, communities and healthcare systems,” she stated.
‎
‎She also offered words of encouragement to women currently battling breast cancer.
‎
‎”To every woman confronting breast cancer, you are more than your diagnosis. May no woman’s story be overlooked, no cry for help go unanswered, and no journey be faced alone,” Mrs Otti added.
