ABUJA — The Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, has strengthened its partnership with the Kingdom of Denmark to address maritime security challenges and improve migration management.

‎The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Kemi Nandap, pcc, fsmn, was represented by the Deputy Comptroller General in charge of Border Management, DCG A.R. Sabo, who received a delegation from the Royal Danish Embassy led by the Deputy Head of Mission, Ms. Julie Rosenkilde Hannibal, at the Service Headquarters in Abuja.

‎The meeting is part of ongoing efforts to deepen collaboration between Nigeria and Denmark on border security and migration management.
‎
‎Discussions centred on the scope of future partnership in addressing maritime security challenges within the Gulf of Guinea, strengthening border governance, combating irregular migration, and promoting safe, orderly and regular migration.
‎
‎Both parties also explored opportunities for enhanced technical cooperation, capacity building and information sharing in areas of mutual interest.
‎
‎Speaking on behalf of the Comptroller General during the meeting, DCG Sabo reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to fostering stronger collaboration with the Kingdom of Denmark in support of regional security, effective border governance and migration management.
‎
‎He appreciated the Danish delegation for the visit and expressed optimism that the partnership would further contribute to the attainment of shared security and development objectives.
