Nigeria to launch smarter tourism ecosystem with MyCityApp – Minister Musawa

The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy, has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s tourism sector with the development of a digital platform in partnership with MyCityApp.

‎The Minister of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, disclosed this on X after meeting with the project committee to review progress and chart the next phase of implementation.

‎According to the Minister, the collaboration is aimed at enhancing the visitor experience and making it easier for both tourists and residents to access information on Nigeria’s rich culture, destinations, businesses, events, and experiences.

‎”As part of our commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s tourism sector and enhancing the visitor experience through our collaboration with MyCityApp, I met with the project committee to review progress and chart the next phase of implementation,” she stated.

‎”Together, we are building a smarter, more connected tourism ecosystem that will make it easier for visitors and residents alike to discover Nigeria’s rich culture, destinations, businesses, events, and experiences through an accessible digital platform,” she added.

‎Minister Musawa said the initiative reflects the government’s drive to leverage innovation and technology to showcase Nigeria to the world.

‎”There is exciting work ahead, and I look forward to sharing more updates in the coming weeks as we continue to leverage innovation and technology to showcase Nigeria to the world,” she said.

‎The partnership with MyCityApp is expected to support the ministry’s broader agenda of promoting cultural tourism, boosting local businesses, and positioning Nigeria as a top destination in Africa.
