A young boy from Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State who went missing during a bandit attack on his village about three years ago has reportedly been found in Kano State.
Security analyst Bakatsine disclosed the development on his verified X handle on Tuesday.
According to him, the boy, identified as Kabiru, was discovered in Takaratsa village of Rimin Gado LGA, Kano State.
Kabiru told residents he is from Dan Awo village in Kankara LGA, Katsina State. He gave his father’s name as Hamza and his mother’s name as Hasiya.
He also mentioned having siblings named Nura, Shafa and Farida.
Bakatsine said the boy was found after spending about three years away from his family following the attack on his village by bandits.

Kankara LGA in Katsina has been one of the areas repeatedly hit by bandit attacks since 2020, with many children and residents abducted or displaced.
