The Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia, has appreciated the prompt response by security agencies to the terrorist attack on Ukum Local Government Area.

‎Terrorists masquerading as herdsmen in the early hours of Sunday invaded and attacked several communities in Mbazun Ward, Ukum Local Government Area, killing some people and inflicting injuries on many others.

‎In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Tersoo Kula, the Governor condoled with families who lost loved ones and those injured. He vowed to continue giving necessary support to security agencies to safeguard lives and property in the state.

‎The statement urged security agencies to continue mounting guard in strategic areas across the state to tackle headlong enemies of the state who seem unrelenting.

‎The Governor further assured the people of the state that his administration will not relent in efforts to protect them.
