The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D., has congratulated the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election.

‎Abbas described the outcome of the election as evidence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to democratic principles.

‎The Speaker noted that the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate demonstrated that the Tinubu administration had created an enabling environment for political parties to test their popularity through elections.
‎
‎He urged Governor Adeleke to justify the mandate given to him by the people of Osun State by delivering the dividends of democracy.
‎
‎The Speaker also commended other candidates who participated in the election, saying their participation in the electoral process had contributed to the development of Nigeria’s democracy.
