Bandits attempting to attack Babban Gida community in Bugaje Ward, Jibia LGA of Katsina State were repelled on Sunday night by local youths and troops of the 17 Brigade, security analyst Bakatsine posted on X.

‎According to the post, the bandits met stiff resistance from community youths and could not gain entry into the village. They later retreated, abandoning some belongings.

‎The swift intervention of 17 Brigade personnel further strengthened the response and frustrated the attackers’ plans, the post added.

‎While some livestock were reportedly rustled in nearby villages, Bakatsine said the defense of Babban Gida demonstrates the courage and vigilance of the community youths and the rapid response of troops.
