Alex Iwobi will join the Super Eagles centurion club if he features against Portugal in Wednesday’s international friendly at Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa, Leiria.
The Fulham midfielder, 30, has 99 caps for Nigeria and needs one more appearance to reach 100 caps.
He will become the fourth Super Eagles player to hit the milestone after Ahmed Musa, Joseph Yobo, and Vincent Enyeama.
Iwobi debuted for Nigeria in a friendly against DR Congo in 2015, after representing England at youth level.
He has been a regular for the three-time African champions for 10 years.
Wednesday’s match against Portugal gives the former Everton star the chance to enter Nigeria’s elite 100-cap club.
