he candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for Isiala Ngwa North/South Federal Constituency, Sir Uzoma Ihuka, on Monday attended the August Meeting of UGWU MA MMA WOMEN’S MOVEMENT in Owerrinta, Isiala Ngwa South.
The meeting, presided over by their leader, Hon. Mrs. Uchechi Daniel, was held at Star Paper Mill, Owerrinta.
Speaking at the event, Sir Ihuka assured the women that his mission is to ensure they are fully empowered.
He said that when elected, he will attract federal institutions to the area so that women can do business and their businesses will thrive.
”If I emerge, you will not come to my gate to beg for Keke. You will have the capacity to buy motorcycles for yourselves and your families. You will feature prominently in my programmes,” Ihuka declared.
He urged the women to spread the message of hope and promised effective representation in the Green Chambers.
Ihuka warned them against electing representatives from minority parties, noting that such people cannot be part of the ruling party’s caucus where key decisions are taken. He said this is why the constituency has not attracted meaningful projects.
He assured them that electing him in 2027 will usher in a new dawn of opportunities for their families.
Sir Ihuka was accompanied by the APC Chairman of Isiala Ngwa North, Chief Onyeukwu Nwogu, his Campaign DG, Tony Otuonye, Brave Enwerenmadu, and others.
