Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle affecting all political appointees at the advisory level and key aides in the Government House.
The announcement was made on Monday by the Governor’s Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mashood Agboola.
According to the statement, the reshuffle affects all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, the Deputy Chief of Staff, and the Principal Private Secretary.
“The move is to create opportunities for more members of the ruling party and bring renewed energy into the administration,” Agboola stated.
The Governor expressed appreciation to the affected appointees for their service and wished them well in their future endeavours.
All affected officials have been directed to hand over government property in their possession to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
The exercise forms part of the administration’s effort to reconstitute parts of its team while broadening participation in government.
