Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has approved portfolios for nine newly sworn-in commissioners confirmed by the State House of Assembly.

‎The Governor also created the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development to strengthen governance, accelerate post-conflict recovery, and stimulate economic growth.

‎3. Hon. Maina Yaumi – Planning and Economic DevelopmentÂ
‎4. Hon. Engr. Tijjani Alkali Goni – Water ResourcesÂ
‎5. Hon. Arch. Isa Garba Haladu – Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and ResettlementÂ
‎6. Hon. Engr. Mohammed Habib – EnvironmentÂ
‎7. Hon. Engr. Dr. Bawu Musami – Agriculture and Natural ResourcesÂ
‎8. Hon. Ibrahim Hala Hassan – Trade, Investment and TourismÂ

‎All commissioners are to assume duties immediately.

‎Governor Zulum urged them to rededicate themselves to service delivery and work closely with Permanent Secretaries and directors to ensure Borno people enjoy greater dividends of democracy as the administration enters its final phase.
