Erstwhile presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dele Momodu, has insisted that the opposition candidates in Nigeria are still not prepared to challenge President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Momodu who is the publisher of Ovation International Magazine made the assertion in a statement posted on his verified X handle on Tuesday.
He questioned how opposition presidential hopefuls intend to defeat Tinubu when they have yet to agree on a unified strategy.
According to the chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is the only contender with the structure and seriousness required for the race.
Momodu emphasised that contesting for the highest office in any country is not a child’s play, adding that any opposition leader who seems to understand what it takes to be competitive is Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
