A security analyst, Bakatsine has confirmed that at least five people have been killed and several others are missing after armed bandits ambushed residents of Kyaram as they were returning from Maga Market in Bukkuyyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Newsbuka learnt that the attack which occurred on Wednesday evening, caused fear among residents of nearby rural communities.
Bakatsine while sharing details of the incident on X on Thursday, confirmed the fatalities and warning about the growing threat of repeated attacks in rural areas.
Posting on his verified X handle, he wrote “Armed bandits ambushed residents of Kyaram yesterday evening as they returned from Maga Market in Bukkuyyum LGA, Zamfara State.
”At least 5 people have been confirmed dead, while several others are still missing. Search and rescue efforts are ongoing, but fear is spreading fast across nearby rural communities.
”Residents are asking the big question: What immediate steps are authorities taking to find the missing and stop these repeated attacks on rural areas?.”
