OWERRI — Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has reaffirmed the South-East’s support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, describing it as crucial to sustaining Nigeria’s socio-economic progress.

‎Governor Uzodimma said his administration’s leadership model is anchored on a sustainable vision of governance that puts the people first and delivers tangible development.

‎“It is on this foundation that our support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, remains steadfast. We are convinced that the continuity of his administration will consolidate the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda, deepen ongoing reforms, and further accelerate Nigeria’s socio-economic development,” he said.

‎South-East Backs Tinubu

‎During an engagement with members of the Imo State Elders Council and the Traditional Rulers Council, the Governor said he reaffirmed the collective resolve of all five South-East states to support President Tinubu’s re-election bid.

‎He noted that the region is committed to embracing a new era of constructive partnership with the Federal Government; one founded on development, shared prosperity, and national unity, rather than transactional politics.

‎Charter Of Equity Framework For Imo

‎As part of mobilization efforts in Imo State for the re-election of Mr. President and the sustenance of his transformative agenda, Governor Uzodimma said he has directed both the Imo State Elders Council and the Traditional Rulers Council to develop a practical framework for the implementation of the Charter of Equity.

‎“We must not return to the politics of exclusion. The principle of equitable power rotation remains fundamental to strengthening political stability, promoting inclusiveness, and guaranteeing sustainable peace, progress, and development in Imo State,” he stated.
