‎ANKA, ZAMFARA STATE – Security operatives comprising personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, the Nigeria Police Force, and the military have intercepted a suspected supplier of logistics to bandits in Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

‎The suspect was reportedly transporting communication devices and other provisions intended for bandits operating around the Bagega axis when he was intercepted.

‎Posting on his X handle on Saturday, security expert Bakatsine said the seizure could disrupt a key logistics channel that helps sustain criminal activities in the area.

‎Analysts note that cutting off supply routes is just as critical as direct confrontation in the fight against banditry in Zamfara and other North-West states.

‎The operation has been commended as an example of intelligence-led and coordinated security action.

‎”Kudos to the NSCDC, the Nigeria Police Force and the military personnel involved for their vigilance and coordinated efforts,” a security watcher noted. “Sustained intelligence-led operations remain crucial to weakening criminal networks and improving security across Zamfara.”

‎The Bagega axis in Anka LGA has in recent years been identified as one of the flashpoints for bandit activity in the state.

‎Authorities are yet to release further details on the identity of the suspect and the full contents of the intercepted consignment.
