‎President Tinubu Consoles Ndidi over Death of Father

Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu has condoled with Super Eagles captain, Wilfred Ndidi, over the tragic death of his father, Sunday Ndidi.

‎Sunday Ndidi died in a ghastly road accident in Umunede, near Agbor, Delta State, on Tuesday.

‎Ndidi who plays for Turkish Super Lig club Besiktas, shared a close bond with his father, whom he often credited as a mentor and guide in his stellar football career.

‎In a statement signed by Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu expressed profound sorrow.

‎Tinubu said he is  deeply saddened by the tragic death of Sunday Ndidi, condonling with his family, friends and associates, particularly Wilfred Ndidi, who shared a strong bond with his father as a mentor and guide in his remarkable career as an exceptional footballer.

‎The President highlighted Sunday Ndidi’s influence on his son Ndidi, praying for divine comfort for the bereaved family just as he prayed God to grant eternal repose to the soul of the departed.
