KATSINA — The Katsina State Police Command says it has arrested a suspected drug trafficker accused of supplying illicit substances to bandits operating in Funtua Local Government Area.

‎According to the Command, the suspect, identified as Sunday Eze, popularly known as “Dunbuje”, was arrested during an intelligence-led operation on July 15, 2026.
‎
‎A post by security expert Bakatsine said officers recovered 500 D5 tablets during the operation.
‎
‎Preliminary investigations suggest the suspect played a role in supplying drugs to criminal groups operating in and around Funtua Zone.
‎
‎Security experts note that armed groups often depend on supply chains and civilian collaborators, not just weapons, to sustain their operations.
