Residents of Yan Kamaye, Tsohon Gari, in Tsanyawa Local Government Area of Kano State on Sunday staged a peaceful protest, urging Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to fulfill his pledge to establish a security outpost in the area.
The protest followed a bandit attack that killed five people and injured several others in the town.
Security expert Bakatsine reported the development on X on Monday.
The protesters expressed concern over worsening insecurity and the absence of a permanent security presence in the community.
They warned that they might boycott future elections if authorities failed to take concrete steps to protect lives and property.
