One person has been killed and about 15 others reportedly abducted after bandits invaded Bungudu town in Zamfara State on Sunday night.
Security expert, Bakatsine, who disclosed this on his X handle on Monday, said the bandits spent hours operating around Unguwar Sarki area of the town before security forces arrived.
According to him, the attackers fled the town when security operatives eventually arrived.
“Last night, bandits invaded Bungudu town in Zamfara State, spending hours around Unguwar Sarki before security forces arrived. One person was killed and about 15 others were reportedly abducted. The bandits fled when security forces eventually arrived,” Bakatsine posted.
He questioned why bandits are still able to spend hours operating inside towns in Zamfara before help arrives.
