According to reports, Aston Villa have opened talks with Chelsea over a potential double swoop for forwards Nicolas Jackson and Alejandro Garnacho, as they prepare to lose Morgan Rogers to Stamford Bridge in a British-record transfer.
The discussions took place alongside negotiations for Rogers’ move and signal Villa’s aggressive reinvestment plans under Unai Emery ahead of another Champions League campaign.
Sources confirm Villa probed the availability of both attackers as part of plans to revamp their forward line.
Summer Reshuffle at Villa Park
Villa’s squad has already been reshaped this summer. Midfielder Amadou Onana is out for the season with injury, while Youri Tielemans has joined Manchester United.
Reinforcements are arriving in midfield. Swiss youngster Johan Manzambi has been agreed, while talks continue for Wolves’ Joao Gomes and Bayern Munich’s Joao Palhinha.
But with Rogers set to depart, Emery is prioritising firepower up front. Jackson, who previously flourished under Emery at Villarreal, is a prime target.

Garnacho Door Opens
Garnacho also emerged as an option during talks. The Argentine winger has long been admired at Villa Park and is now available after Chelsea informed his representatives he is not in Xabi Alonso’s long-term plans.
Roma’s loan-to-buy offer for Garnacho has reportedly stalled as they prioritise West Ham’s Crysencio Summerville, leaving the door open for Villa.
Sources say Garnacho would welcome a move to Villa Park for regular football under Emery.
