Local vigilantes have repelled a bandit attack in Dogon Kade community, Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Security expert, Bakatsine, reported on his X handle that the clash occurred this morning. According to local sources, scores of bandits were killed during the confrontation.
Among those killed is Alhaji Tukur, said to be a younger brother of notorious bandit leader Kachalla Shehu Bagiwaye.
The vigilantes have been commended for their coordinated response and continued efforts to protect communities from bandit attacks in the state.
