The Nigeria Police Force has dismantled a kidnapping syndicate linked to killings and abductions along the Federal Capital Territory–Nasarawa border.

‎‎In a statement by CSP Anietie Okokon Edem Iniedu, Force Public Relations Officer, the suspects were arrested between June 24 and 26, 2026, during intelligence-led operations in Gbagalape, Mararaba, and Abuja.

‎The suspects, Buhari Adamu, 25, and Abubakar Saidu, 28, are linked to a May 16 attack on Gbagalape Community in which residents were abducted and killed, the statement said.

‎Operatives also recovered one AK-47 rifle, 22 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, 14 cows, and three sheep from the gang’s hideout at Gbagalape Hills.

‎According to the PPRO, the suspects have made statements aiding investigations, while efforts are ongoing to arrest fleeing members.

‎The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, commended operatives of the Force Intelligence Department–Special Tactical Squad for the operation.
