Former Kano State Governor, retired Col. Sani Bello, has questioned the Federal Government’s handling of insecurity, saying authorities act swiftly against critics while bandits operate freely.
The Sarkin Malaman Kontagora said bandits routinely release videos from forest hideouts, issue threats, and display heavy weapons without facing decisive action.
According to a post on X on Monday by security expert Bakatsine, Bello maintained that the Nigerian military has superior firepower.
However, he alleged that the government has reasons for not eliminating the armed groups outright.
