Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, on Monday announced that the state government would officially unveil the Ibom International Hospital and Medical City Project on Tuesday.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Governor Eno described the facility as a major step in his administration’s commitment to providing world-class healthcare for the people of the state.
The 350-bed facility, located along the Uyo–Ikot Ekpene Highway, is designed to serve as a centre for specialised healthcare, medical research, innovation, training, and wellness services.
According to the governor, the project will also create opportunities within the health sector.
“I invite Akwa Ibom people to join us as we take another bold step towards building a healthier and more prosperous future for our State,” Governor Eno stated.
The unveiling ceremony is scheduled for Ibom Medical City, Uyo–Ikot Ekpene Highway, on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 12 noon.
