Bandits killed three farmers on their farms in Charanchi Local Government Area of Katsina State on Thursday, hours after security forces repelled an attack on Kadanyar Kwari village, residents have said.

‎According to security monitor Bakatsine in a post on X, the attackers attempted to invade Kadanyar Kwari village in the evening but were engaged by security personnel and forced to retreat before entering the community.
‎
‎Bakatsine said the bandits then attacked farmers working on nearby farms, killing three civilians and injuring two others during the incident.
‎
‎Residents were quoted as mourning the victims and praying for the speedy recovery of the wounded, while also commending the bravery of security personnel for preventing the village invasion.
‎
‎Attacks by bandits have continued to claim lives across Katsina State and other parts of northwestern Nigeria despite repeated security operations by government forces.
