Bandits have reportedly attacked tomato farmers in Ketare in the outskirts of Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Security expert, Bakatsine posting on his verified X handle on Thursday, said during the attack which occured Wednesday afternoon, the bandits killed one person and abducted two others.
According to him, the bandits left the area unchallenged as there were no security agents in the area when the bandits struck.
He added that the incident comes just weeks after local stakeholders brokered a peace deal with armed bandits operating in the area.
This attack has raised concerns among residents as to why such agreements reached with armed bandits have failed to prevent attacks.
