‎Gov Okpebholo Hands over 54 Construction Equipment to 18 LG Councils

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has opined that development should not reside in one place but must reach the hinterlands for it to make sense.

‎The Governor who spoke on Monday during the hand over of over 54 construction equipment to the 18 Local Government Councils in the state, added that the move is meant to strengthen grassroots development across Edo State.

‎Posting on his verified X handle, Governor Okpebholo, said his administration is poised to ensure that all that is due to communities is delivered under the SHINE Agenda.

‎According to the Governor, the earth moving machines are meant for work, opening rural roads, fixing drainage, improving sanitation, and speeding up projects that touch everyday lives.

‎He commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Nyesom Wike for standing with the state during the commissioning of the project which he described as a step towards grassroots growth.

‎Governor Okpebholo said the initiative is a reflection of practical governance, emphasising that the move is for the good and development of Edo State.

‎”Today, we handed over 54 construction equipment to our 18 Local Government Councils to strengthen grassroots development across Edo State.

‎”Development should not live in one place. It must reach every community and this is what our administration is delivering under the SHINE Agenda.

‎”These earth moving machines are meant for work, opening rural roads, fixing drainage, improving sanitation, and speeding up projects that touch everyday lives.”
