Bandits have reportedly attacked Fadamar Tarah in Sabon-Birni local government area of Sokoto State.
A security expert, Bakatsine while posting on his verified X handle on Saturday, said the assailants abducted three people including a pregnant woman.
Bakatsine wrote, “Hours ago, bandits stormed Fadamar Tarah in Sabon-Birni LGA of Sokoto State, abducted three people including a pregnant woman.
”What is happening to Sokoto East? This is terrifying.”
Recall that bandits have in the past, kidnapped people in Sokoto, the recent being attack targeting communities in Isa Local Government Area.
Also, on January 12, 2026, armed bandits killed two people and abducted several others in Bargaja village, leading to outrage, widespread fear and displacement.
Newsbuka reports that Zamfara, Kaduna, Kano, Kwara, Benue among others have been targeted by bandits in recent time.
Amid the abductions and killings, authorities in Nigeria have continued to assure the citizenry that banditry will soon be a thing of the past.
