Senator Barau Jibrin, the Deputy Senate President has promised that justice will be served after the arrest of suspects linked to the killing of a housewife and her six children in Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters of Kano.
Reacting to the arrest of the alleged masterminds of the dastardly act in a post shared on his Facebook page, Barau said the arrest of three principal suspects by the Kano State Police Command is a cheering news and lauded the police for their swift action.
He commended the command’s prompt response to the incident, adding that the early breakthrough demonstrated the seriousness of the police.
Barau said the arrests should mark only the beginning of the process, urging the police to conduct a full and careful investigation to ensure the suspects are properly prosecuted.
He emphasised the need for the suspects to face justice, saying that they must face the full wrath of the law.
The senator conveyed his sympathy to the victims’ family, offering prayers for the deceased and words of comfort to the surviving husband and father.
Barau also prayed that Allah grants the victims Aljannatul Firdaus and gives the husband and father of the children, Haruna Bashir, the strength to endure the irreparable loss.
Recall that in a statement released by the police spokesperson of the Kano State Police Command, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the suspects arrested are: Umar Auwalu, 23, of Sabuwar Gandu Quarters; Isyaku Yakubu, also known as “Chebe”, 40, of Sagagi Quarters; and Yakubu Abdulaziz, also called “Wawo”, 21, of Sabon Gida Sharada Quarters, all in Kano.
