ABUJA — Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has said every national and international engagement provides an opportunity to harness resources within the state towards building a stronger economy and consolidating the gains of his administration so far.
In a statement on X, Governor Uzodimma said engagements were underway alongside Vice President Kashim Shettima and other governors to strengthen the implementation of Nigeria’s Agro-Industrial Processing Zones Programme.
He said the focus of the programme is on unlocking greater investments, expanding value chains, and accelerating agricultural industrialization across the country.
“I am particularly pleased that our dear Imo State is well positioned to take full advantage of this initiative, given our immense agricultural potential and our commitment to sustainable economic growth,” he stated.
The Agro-Industrial Processing Zones Programme is a federal government initiative aimed at developing agro-processing hubs to boost productivity, create jobs and attract private sector investment in agriculture.
